I would have to bang these things against a non-sharp rock for at least 30 minutes with decent weight inside before they failed. I would be tired before that happened. I could ride this bag over a rock as float in class 2-3 whitewater at mid-low water and not be concerned that it will fail. It is not an NRS bag but it is pretty bad ass for the price.Unless you are hard core about rafting and swear by the NRS bags, then these are pretty good. The NRS bags are commercial rafting level. These are you love whitewater and don't have to handle 90 days a year of rough handling year after year. If you are going on the river all the time then go for the NRS or other. These are lighter weight in the thickness than the classic NRS but they do the exact same job for people that are going down the river 20 days a year. The water-sealing dry-fold-wrap-and-buckle seems just as good or better. I use them as survival bags in the winter. Toss the warm clothes and old down coat in there in case I get caught up in a bad condition or situation.I love this item. I can take all of my important items with me while I am at the lake. It has not leaked at all. I have placed it on top of the water where it could float. But normally I have a floaty that is suppose to be a floating cooler but I use it to put my stuff in. I just place it in there with my actual cooler and Bluetooth speaker and its perfect! This first came to me with a broken buckle and holes in the bag. It was annoying to have to go drop it off to return it and I needed it for a trip so it was a little disappointing. But second one came in good condition and it’s held up well. It’s cute too. A lot of people that I go rafting with and boating all want one.love this waterproof dry bag! just came back from my Philippines trip 10/4/2019 and this bag kept all my belongings dry. I was in the Philippines for 8 days and everyday we had a water activity of some sort, from snorkeling, to waterfall rock climbing and even swimming under caves to get to the hidden beaches! just make sure you are folding the back the correct way, because my friend got the same bag and folded his the wrong way and water seeped in his bag. other then that, i highly recommend this bag!Exactly as expected (good!). The bag is a solid, thick material to keep water out. The strap is sewn on well. I bought the bag to sling around or over a shoulder when carrying kayaks. I didn't submerge the bag in water, but it did get wet and the stuff inside remained dry. Would buy again. We like to raft white water and our small essentials dry bag finally tore so I bought this one to replace it. This is an awesome bag. Big enough to hold all the things you want at hand. It ties to the frame easily and everything stayed dry inside.High quality bag that stood up to our rough trails of dust, mud, and rain ! All of our clean clothes and dry goods for lunch and the rest of our gear stayed dry, clean , and smell free after a full week riding our UTV off reading in the Tennessee mountains. We bought two 40L bags and had plenty of storage . The carry handles and back pack straps make the bags easy to use and carry .great value, i got the 40l for a canoe trip so it had the backpack straps on it. i only used them a couple times to portage between lakes but they seemed sturdy and were comfortable. at one point, i put some towels in it and intentionally held it underwater for about ten seconds. it popped right back up and upon further inspection, the towels were all BONE DRY. very thick material.
