Waterproof 40L Dry Bag Backpack for Travel, Hiking & Boating - Beach Essentials

I am a professional beach bum. After living in the Virgin Islands I learned that using a dry bag for your beach bag has many benefits. Like keeping things dry if a summer shower pops up, and keeping sand out of things. We did a lot of boating and would tie up to mooring balls and swim to shore. So a dry bag was essential for that. But for your everyday beach trip, this bag works great. Most dry bags don't have any extra pockets or spaces to keep things. That is what makes this dry bag stand out. I keep my snorkels in the bottom compartment so they can be wet and not get everything else in my bag wet. I used to have to bring two bags to the beach for this and now I just have one bag. I like to snorkel in a long sleeve shirt and that wet shirt goes in there too. Then there is a mesh pocket I put my sunscreen in so it's easy to grab and reapply. And there is another zippered pocket behind the mesh where we keep our phones and wallet. Finally it has the cup holders where we put our water bottles. All of these extra storage places make this dry bag stand out head and shoulders above the rest. Just go ahead and buy it. I like this bag however it lacks the convenient pockets to place small items like keys or wallet. While the bag does keep water out and the small “wet pouch” at the bottom is handy, it attracts sands like crazy. Don’t place the bag on the beach unless you want to take the beach home with you. Other than the constant souvenir of bringing home sand, this is a good bag. Oh, the waist strap is made for size 0 waistlines.I have enjoyed the hot appearance, bomber construction and spot on functionality of Platinum Sun products for sometime. They have really outdone themselves with their new Blue Adventure Dry Bag. I loved the performance of the original adventure dry bag. Still at times it was just a bit small. They’ve gone way beyond that with a 40 L capacity, lots more pockets including secret compartments. They even have partitioned wet and dry areas to deal with real life issues on your own adventures. So whether you have a day at the beach, a deep free dive, a picnic, an epic KiteBoarding session or a fun day on the slopes snowboarding, your kit is covered, good to go and ready hit life and adventures as hard as you do!Was shown the pack by a friend that had one. Working on the water dry bags are a daily need item. Now three of us have this same bag! This bag has internal organization pockets, multiple places on the outside to store things as well as having the dirty/Wet clothing pocket.The only things I'd like to see added would be side buckles for the top and a strap that goes over the top to hold it shut. Places to attach carabiners would be nice too!I highly recommend the Platinum Sun 30L waterproof dry bag! I’m an avid kiteboarder and spend a lot of time at the beach and travel quite a bit. I’ve been looking for a dry bag that is also versatile in the sense of having outside pockets and inside pockets other dry bags lacked. Not only is it a stylish bag, it is very durable! I love the fact that there is an inside pocket where I can slip my phone and keys so it’s easy to find! The bag is roomy to pack a change of clothes, the Platinum sun beach towel (also highly recommend), my change towel, sunblock/sunscreen, GoPro etc. The bag rolls down and snaps together well and keeps out the sand and water! Another great feature are the netted side pockets to hold water/drink bottles on both sides of my bag and there is an outside mesh to stick my wet bathing suit/rashguard and a corded exterior to hold towels or other beach related gear! The bag is great too going on a hike or any other outdoor sports. I love the fact that it's a backpack so you could use this on other outdoor activities and also use it on a downwinder if you need to carry gear while kiting - once I go on a long downwinder and use the bag, I'll give a review. Great waterproof dry bag and great price!Honestly didn't get to use the bag. The bottom waist straps didn't even fit around me. I'm not a large man either. I guess you have to be a child or Super Fit. It was disappointing since I was looking forward to using the bag as how it was built and a little insulting they don't make the straps larger. Unfortunately, I will be returning this bag. May be great for others, just don't want the straps hanging all the timeBought this to store dry items while scuba diving. Never dunked or submerged under water, but it did get splashed on and was sitting in water on the boats. The items inside were kept dry. Only complaint is that there aren't enough pockets to keep small things easy to find. Just one or two more pockets would be ideal. I will also say that fitting two large beach towels plus scuba masks/snorkel, and two sets of clothes and 1 water bottle was tough. Had to really smush things down.Bought for Cross Country and some Downhiill skiing. Also for canoe trips. Planning to take on a beach trip too. Safely stores everything I need. Easy to carry and keeps things dry.I recommend buying two if you do not want to end up carrying everyone elses items.
